Missing laterals

Melissa came to our office because she was concerned with her missing upper laterals. Her “baby” right lateral was still in place. Her ideal treatment was to extract the baby tooth and then place Melissa in Invisalign to move her teeth to the proper position prior to starting her cosmetic work. This process would take a little bit longer, but the overall results of her case would be greatly improved. Melissa wore her Aligners for approximately 6 months, which made enough room to place teeth in the space that her laterals should be in. As soon as we ended the Invisalign treatment Melissa was anxious to get started with the cosmetic portion. We prepared 2 bridges that would replace the missing teeth. We also contoured the gum tissue, using a laser, around the missing teeth to create the illusion that her teeth were coming out of her gums. Melissa has been so happy with her results and thanks Dr. Swearingen for giving her a beautiful smile!!
